SHORTHAND FOR PATHNAMES

'%' stands for the name of the directory Davex is in.  

A period (.) followed by a slot and drive number stands for
the name of the volume in the specified slot and drive.

'.' stands for the current directory, and '..' stands for
the directory above the current one.
