SOIC-to-DIP-8 Adapter

A simple design that adapts SOIC-8 or -8W chips to fit in the space of a DIP-8 package...useful for breadboarding. It's panelized 8x8 so that you can get 320 of them for about $8 or so, shipped from JLCPCB (vs. about the same price for 10 from Amazon).

Note

The JLCPCB Tools plugin doesn't include the User.Comments layer in its output. For the panelized gerbers produced by KiKit, this layer contains V-cut information. Generate panel-User_Comments.gbr manually (check "use drill/place file origin") and add it to GERBER-panel.zip, or else JLCPCB will send back unscored panels that will need to be cut manually. It'd probably be a good idea to mention in the order notes that the User.Comments layer is used for this information.
